What if you only know the year plus or minus five years?.
Do you have to search dozens of "views" until you find the right sheet?
And does each view cost a credit?
Example search
William Charles P Pillage married Elsie Mary Husband sometime around 1945 plus or minus say five years.
How do you go abut it.
Please help.

I have ancestry and can do a search for you -
give me details...
Save your credits for something else!

First one I looked at 1940 Jan/Feb/Mar. Pillage William C P to Husband, Newton A Volume 5 b Page 461. That was lucky!! Usually you have to trawl through pages and pages.

Filipin Eke that was quick.
Thanks
Now then, as I have not bought credits yet, and as everyone seems it's too expensive.
Are they suggesting I use Ancestry.co.uk.
Which do I use as I am just starting out

HI Ancestry has almost everything you could want. I also have Findmypast cost is has extra stuff, but I am not short of cash. If you are short of cash, get Ancestry as a Chrissy present, shared between the family.

PS but in the meanwhile lots of people on here will do look-ups for you.
