My problem:

Evan (Ifan) Jones b 1798 Llangower
m
Jane ??? b 1805 Ruthin

first child born 1828.

I need to locate possible marriages for Evan and Jane so I can order certs. Can you please give me some help as to where to start trawling first. After the marriage they did live in Llangower.

Many thanks

Sue

you wont get certificates prior to 1837 your best bet is church or parish records try the parishes they were born in first.

Thanks Colin.

I have accessed the parish records for births online (no marriages available) but there are 4 possible churches he could have attended.

I'll see how many there were in Ruthin.

if you go on to the national library of wales website you can search their archives for marriage bonds also have you tried the igi batch numbers

Went onto the IGI site where I have been trying to tie up christenings with children on the census. Problem arose with conflict with parents names so I am getting confused (not unusual).

I am at the stage where nothing makes sense!

Will look at Nat Library site, thank you
