	A Topographical Dictionary of England - 1848 - Samuel Lewis (editor) is a really useful reference, although it doesn't list Moddershall: http://www.british-history.ac.uk/source.aspx?pubid=445 DROINTON, a township, partly in the parish of Colwich, and partly in that of Stowe, S. division of the hundred of Pirehill, union, and N. division of the county, of Stafford, 1 mile (E. S. E.) from Stowe; containing 162 inhabitants. It lies about a mile south of Chartley Park, and is chiefly occupied by persons engaged in agriculture. 	Hello, Does anyone know which district in Staffs does Moddershall come under please? Also, is there such a place as Droynton, in Staffs? I feel like I'm going round in circles at the minute. Many Thanks Helen
