Baptism would say son or daughter of "john and Mary Bloggs" ,for instance,
Unfortunately the parish record for marriages don't state any parents names ,but sometimes the witnesses can be family members so may help

Im in Croydon so both are easy enough i should think. Would there be any information like names of parents? The funny thing is, anytime i do a search on the surname tadhunter i find very little... is that odd?

Parish records for Greenwich are also kept in the grounds of the Woolwich Arsenal Museum. If that's any nearer for you.

If you can get to the London Metropolitan Archives in London .which is just over the road from where the FRC was then they may have the Greenwich records, The only big church I can remember is St Alpheges Church at Greenwich
The pallots record number would tie up with the actual parish record so if you know that it makes it easier to search the files

If they married in Southwark then the LMA do have those records cos i found a St Saviour Southwark marriage there for 1803

You can ring the LMA to see if they have these records to save a wasted journey

Looking for advice on what to do next. I've researched the family tree back to a man called John Tadhunter, born 08 March 1793 and baptised 25 March 1793. I found the DOB and Baptism date in the Watermans Bindings after a trip to the Guildhall Library in London. It listed his baptism in Greenwich.

My first question is, does anyone know where any other records of his baptism might be found with a view to finding his parents?

The second part of this is that i know he married a Mary Ann Southern in 1814 as i have found the record in the Pallot's Marriage Index for England: 1780 - 1837 on Ancestry but it only shows a photo of their names with the faintest word what i can only make out as "Horsleydown"?. Isn't Horsleydown in Southwark? Would there be anymore information that i can't see on the photo, maybe a document somewhere... and even then where?

Appreciate any help offered!
