i am trying to find any iformation about my granmar amy amelia lamb. she was born in jarrow and was living at 17 keats avenue, but i am unable to find her birth certificate on one of the census she is down as an ann a lamb. i have tryed bu am unable to find out details about her. she married my granfather in 1886 john robert glentworth and they had five children, one been born in hull in 1888 and the rest in the middlesbrough area grangetown, south bank. hope fully some one can help me

If she married in 1886, her birth would have been pre-1875. Registration wasn't compulsory until 1875....................

If you wish to trace her ancestry, you need to obtain the marriage cert..........it will tell you her father's name (if known)
