Registration only started late that year.
When introduced the forms were standard and continued to provide the same information for many years.
Recently they have been updated.

1837 certificate would therefore provide
Place and date of birth
Name of child
Sex of child
Name and surname of father
Name, surname and maiden surname of mother
Occupation of father
Signature, description and residence of informant
When registered
Signature of registrar
As now, the registration district, sub district and county were stated at the top of the page.

In reality many of the early certs. gave little information about actual locations, ie. street names.
Some early certs. show a time of birth. This doesn't necessarily mean it was a twin birth, but was just registrars being keen to log all known facts.
