I have two of my Irish ancestors and the records also say N/A....I had always thought it meant not available? But am always ready to learn! BC

Thank you for your help. it does make sense, just seemed odd that the other two children mentioned were 2 and 12. I did.nt know whether these other two were adults or children too.
I shall have to wonder. thank you both for your thoughts.

It typically means "not available" (i.e., they left it blank) or "not applicable" e.g., "number of years married" asked of single person.

Could it just be "No Age" meaning the person giving the information didn't know their age? Although it's usually NK for "Not Known".
Well, I really don't know so if you're a numbskull, I'm one too. Shall we start a Numbskulls Club?

I have cencus info from Emerald Ancestors. on it there are two people listed as N/A,instead of an age.
I know its probably really obvious, but not to nunbskulls like me.
If someone could please let me know, I would be so grateful.
Many thanks
