Thank you both.
I was hoping to use the Electoral Roll
simply to keep the cost down, i have spent
so much joining differant places, while researching my family tree, im going to be a skinflint, if i can.
Thanks again

Access to the current roll varies around the country.

Some libraries give access to the current roll for their own area, others say it isn't available but allow access to the 2003 roll, it depends on the way the data protection act is interpreted by the council.

The rolls are listed by address and show all those registered to vote in a household.

Alternatives for finding a name can be found at 192.com (credis needed) and similiar sites, basically an online phone directory but not all households will be covered.

Hi i know this may seem like a daft question, but i just dont no.
Where do i go to look at the current UK Electoral Roll?
Is there somewhere that the whole country is together or do i have to go to the local town?
How is it set out?
Is it Alphabetically?
What will it show about each household?

Thank you and sorry to be dim.
