If you have them entered but not currently showing as sisters then you will have problems on GR (it's useless when you want to edit and can't handle things like cousins getting married).

You can't simply add the name of the father to each one as this would display as two separate girls with two fathers, and the fathers just happen to share a name, dob etc, GR can't actually work out it's the same man. The problem then is how do you add ancestors for him yet still show he is the same man (and show that all the names connect to both the sisters!!). The only way on GR is to enter everything twice.

Trying to delete names and start afresh is a pain too, if any of the names you want to delete have descendants you have to delete all of those first, then re-enter everyone and everything again manually.

The best option to be honest is to use a tree programme, export a gedcom from GR into the programme, edit (or merge duplicated individuals), make the correct tree into a gedcom file then upload back to GR as it will then display correctly.
Each time you add new details add it to the tree programme (use it as your master tree) and update your GR, Ancestry and Tribal Pages trees via gedcom files as and when you need to,

Dear All

Sorry if this is a daft question but I've been adding information to my tree and I've found that several families marry into my main line.

If I have already entered two sisters separately for example both married to different people and now want to give them both the same father how do I do it?

Hope this is not too confusing!!

Many thanks

Maria
