Oooh LD you could be right there, do you think the word scribbled above is IRON then?

On the marriage cert it looks like coat or coar maker.

Hi Christine,

Thanks, is that the same as the 1901 census online because the only James Davies from Lancashire on there wasn't mine.......typical!

As for e-mailing you the mariage cert can I get back to you later cause I,m unsure how to use the scanner and would need to wait for OH.....I know I'm hopeless lol.

Could someone please help me decipher the occupation of my Great grandfather in the 1901 census.

RG 13 / 3757 page 24.

James Davies is the first one on the page, his father and grandfather were both waggon makers for the railways if this helps. I have his marriage cert also but cannot make out his occupation on that either.
