I'm looking on Ancestry at Oct q 1871 marriages in lancashire there are 3 grooms but on 2 brides, how can I find the missing bride please? need to rule out this marriage in favour of another to order a cert

which groom is it you want. you can try the 1881 census for each of them to see the christian name of the spouse

The missing bride is either

Eliza Tait or Eliza Walsh she married John Honan

Many thanks both, Martin Naughton married a Margaret ? so that rules out that marriage I will go for the other one

Martin Naughton married Hannah Kelly according to Lancashire BMD

There is a marriage in 1875 mar qt Bolton for Martin Naughton to Margaret Coyne gro ref 8c 478.
Verified on Lancashire BMD

I did above Margaret,

Martin Naughton. Unfortunately I can't find him on census in 61 and 71 but think I have him in 81

it's the only one I can find now with a Margaret around the right time so fingers crossed it's the right one.
