I am hoping someone can help me with the follwing
Mary Ann ANDERSON...
She married Patrick Aloyisius McLAUGHLIN in Boston, on 17 October, 1894. She gave her age as 18, and listed her parents as Olof (born Sweden) & Sarah Anderson (no maiden name for the mother).... she was born in England. (He said he was 21, but I think he turned only 19 that November...)
In the 1900 census, he said he was age 24 and she was 21.... (only aged 3 yrs in 6 yrs time!)
In the 1910, he said he was 36 and she was 35 (oops, looks like they tacked on the extra yrs...)
In the 1920, they were both 44...
He died in 1928; in 1930, she said she was 54.
(Note, he said he was son of Daniel and Sarah McLaughlin; his mother was actually MARY, but she had died (though never did yet find her death record....) by the time of the 1880 census when he was age 5.... In fact, I'm not certain that Mary Ann's mother was a "sarah" either.
In later censues, she said she came to the US in 1885....I may have found her immigration a while back, but she wasn't with her parents; there were a LOT of other Anderson's onboard, though....
When I looked for them previously in England in 1881, I found an Olof (dock worker) & Sarah in Liverpool w/ son "G A" age 2, and dtr "M E" age 5 months.... But, he was born in Liverpool, and she was born in Ireland (= both don't match up)....
In 1891, I found a "single" Olof Anderson on a ship, born Sweden....
Then, in 1901, there was an Olof ("journeyman _____ worker"--now he's born Sweden!!) and Sarah (again born Ireland) in (Bootle?? part of Mersey??)...with dtr. Margaret, age 20....
The IGI only has a marriage for an Olof ANDERSON to a Mary Jane DIDERICKSON in 1872 in Liverpool.......
When I looked in the lancashirebmd's site, I found this possibility:
Lancashire Marriage indexes for the years: 1865
Surname Forename(s) Surname Forename(s) Church / Register Office Registers At Reference
ANDERSON Oloff TYSON Sarah J Liverpool, St. Peter Liverpool 2122LP/48/290
Lancashire Marriage indexes for the years: 1872
Surname Forename(s) Surname Forename(s) Church / Register Office Registers At Reference
ANDERSON * Olof DIDERICKSON Mary J Liverpool, St. Luke Liverpool 2111LP/4/189
ANDERSON * Olof FLYNN Mary J Liverpool, St. Luke Liverpool 2111LP/4/189
The IGI also has a Mary Ann Anderson being born to a Sarah Anderson,( no father mentioned ) in 1876 Walker, Northumberland.
There is also a West Derby birth in 1876 for a May Ann Anderson
I dont have any funds to purchase a certificate at the moment but would dearly love to take this futher, without spending at the moment.
Can someone please help me
Thanks
Ann

How can I identify who she iis, when I dont even know where in England she was born?
