What years are you talking of? This site is very good and some very knowledgeable people. You have to register but easy and free. I should add that they seem to know much more than just WW1 as they helped me with a uniform identity of the 1930's

Hi there,
I just need a little bit of help please. I have just received a copy of my grandfathers service sheet for the Cold stream Guards, which by the way you have to send of to london for and not glasgow. On it he was arrested to breaking into the garison bar and i can't read the word before it, but it says ..... to I.H.L. for six weeks. after that it mentions going to HM prison wandsworth for 6 days, talk about skeletons in the closet, the story went that he got drunk and left his service, well it was kind of true lol.
So if anyone can shed some light on this it would be great. I have put a thread on for sending of for records to the Cold Stream Guards if anyone needs it.
Thanks again everyone.
