Hope someone can help or point me in the right direction please. My ancestor Benjamin Bryant was born in Bermondsey in 1811 [on the 2 censuses he is on they have the date as 1814 and 1812 but I have found his christening on the Parish Register] On the 1861 census he is living in St George, Lincs with his wife Charlotte and 2 of their children William c1848 and Thomas c1852. Charlotte died in Stamford Infirmary in 1862 and then Benjamin disappears, I can find no more references for him in the latter censuses or the 2 sons and no death for him either, the only ones I have found with the correct birth year I have been able to discount. I really don't know where to go from here as I don't know if he moved back to London or stayed in Lincs or if he emigrated which I did wonder about, any help or advice would be gratefully recieved.

Thank you, I had seen this but with nothing else to go on its hard to know if it is him. My thinking was that if Benjamin did emigrate he would be in his 50's and he would probably not have gone on his own but with his 2 sons. I was hoping to find his death but have trawled through the records quarter by quarter and haven't found him, obviously the fact that I don't know if he moved after Charlottes death doesnt help things.
