Is there a website or postal address I could contact. I'm trying to locate the records of a Legal partnership that represented my family 25yrs ago, whom i'm told no longer exists. What would have happened to all the legal notes taken at that time. Are such documents held somewhere---in a central archive for intance ? and Would I be able to obtain copies? Thank you philip.

I don't know if there is a closure time for legal notes. I would imagine so.
We had cause to seek legal advice and the case was ongoing when my aunt died. The solicitor's notes formed part of her 'estate' and as her nearest family we wanted to continue the case, but couldn't access the notes unless we first had control of the Will.
