Hi,

I am asking this on behalf of a relation in france. She has tried to obtain a death cert from Gro but they say they can't send it as the age she has put is wrong.

Does anyone know that if she applied again and didnt put the age in and left it blank would they send it.

Many thanks,
Anne

Anne,

Yes is the short answer. The age is often wrong on a death certificate since the person most qualified to answer correctly is unavailable for interview. By putting an age on the application your relative in effect imposed a checking condition.
