Hi

It will cost you £5, do you know when the person died (date). The more information you give the probate office the more likely they are to find the correct will. So full name, date of death, address.

I would suggest you use Cardiff probate office as I have found them to be the fastest 1- 2 weeks a few months ago, where as York will keep you waiting 6 - 8 weeks at a minimum.

If you need anymore info, give them a call.

Can I get a copy of a will that would have been written by someone who died in 1987? And if I can how do I do it?
