Have you found him on any census to know that his mother is called Elizabeth?

Yes i have tried the IGI but cant find him and the above family is him but what i want to know is is William Waldren his dad or is Thomas Woolley as i'm sure its Thomas. Thanks

Its just on one of the census it has him down as step son but i think thats wrong and Elizabeth never married Thomas till 1859 so would he automaticly take Elizbeths name as Waldren even though he was Thomas wooleys son

Birth registration was not compulsory until 1875

Unless there was a birth cert, with the father's details entered, you will never know who fathered him

he is more likely Ellens son if you look at the age of Elizabeth on the 1851 she is unlikely to have had him at 49 which is a little late for childbearing,not impossible but unlikely!!
