Hello Everyone,
My great grandfather is listed firstly as a Waterman then he progresses to Merchant Seaman. Does anyone know where I could find out if there is any information on him. I do know that he along with his wife and children went to USA in 1857 and had child there. He gives his occupation on further birth certificates as Merchant Seaman and on his death cert he is stated as Merchant Seaman. I was wondering if there are any records kept somewhere. Any help appreciated.
