I have just done a marraige search for Thomas Leonard on free bmd.

I found a marriage in 1875 to Margaret o'Bryne.

Do you think that this is the one

If it is then daughter Margaret was 17 when married not nineteen as stated on the cert.

Thanks for your time

Sorry Glitterbaby I missed that post about Margaret being a stepdaughter. I can neither rule it in nor out i'm afraid.
I will spend a bit of time on that one.

One of the witnesses was Bridget O'Brien.
I can find a Margaret with unmarried mother Bridget in 1871 Oldham, so if that is her then Mark might not exist. That's why I can't be sure.

Name, when and where born etc would be useful.

When is the marriage cert dated?

Hi all
I have had no luck searching for my gg grandmother in the 1881 cencus
I sent for her marriage cert which gives her address as pitt st Heywood in the district of Bury Lancs. There is no house number.
I can't be sure that I have found her in the 1871 cencus either.
I do have subs for ancestry and I have tried to do an address search but failed miserably.
Could some kind person instruct me please
