Can anyone help? How do you go about searching for a birth child that was adopted? Clearly their name will have changed.

Hi Anne Marie, Google Adoption Sites and you will get a lot, Cyndi's List is worth looking at.

Hi Anne-Marie

If you're a birth family member and you wish you make contact with an adoptee... then check out this website.

www.adoptionsearchreunion.org.uk

It will explain about the 2005 adoption law contact changes and how to go about applying for contact.

Click into locating records then locating adoption records, then type in the area and it will tell you who to apply to.

Hope this helps.

Cheers Gerry
