Are there any sites that people would particularly recommend - subscription or otherwise as the fundamentals?

I am already registered / signed up with / using the following:

ancestry.
genes (of course)
lostcousins
familysearch

Are the ones I use on a daily basis / pay for.
Any recommendations?

Thanks Jim,
Will have a look at these.

Would it be worth me joining / subscribing to FHS in the main areas where my ancestors lived? Some are local-ish, but a few are a few hours away - would I get any benefit from a 'remote' membership?
