My grandad was in the army i have his service number and that he served in the royal horse artillery 1919-25 and filed artillery 1939- 1940. does anyone know how i can get his records or more information on his time in the army?

Unfortunately Army military service records since 1920 todate are not available online. These records are still held by the MOD and are not in the public domain.
Only NOK/ relationship can apply apply for these records, they will cost a minimum of £3-00, and can take as long as 4 mths to get them.

Here is the link to the Veterans Agency which explains all about the application procedure etc.and who is able to apply.
