Hi can anyone help me please i have found marriages for two of my ancestors but as there was a couple of marriages in that area for that qtr i am unable to find who they married.

Is there anyway i can find this out without purchasing the marriage certificate

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Sam

When? If afyer 1911 then the surname of the partner will be included on the index. If before 1901, you should be able to find them on the next possible census.

Have you found them on a census after the marriage? Can you match up the first names?

You can apply for a marriage certificate to be issued only if the parents are given as XXXXX [your input].

No match - no cert - no fee.

If first is not the one - then try the next.
