Messed up my Hotmatches

Hi Christine and Claire,

well, at first, I *thought* they had to be on the ignored pages before it was possible to discard them but after 'processing' them all, I came back to the regular hotmatches page and all I had done was 'un-ignore' them.

It was after this that I began using the discard link and, once they are gone, that's it.

Like I said, I assumed that they'd all just automatically reappear after the fortnightly update but they didn't.

regards,

Mark

It's ok, you can get them back

Click on" Hotmatches" at the top of screen

Now select "View ignored hot matches" & they should all be there

Click on the tick next to the name you want to restore

Scroll to the bottom of the screen & click on "discard selection"

If you click on ignored hotmatches they should still be there as you can't delete them permanantly unless they've changed something.

Hi all,

A while back, I decided that I had an unmanageable amount of hotmatches and decided to purge all the entries with only 1, 2 or 3 matches.

I was merrily clicking away on 'select all' to get the tickmarks to appear and then clicking the 'discard' link but goofed up when I failed to realise that the refreshed display had gone to the front page and purged all my high-count hotmatches.

I then thought, "what the heck? They'll all reappear at the fortnightly hotmatch update, wont they?" so I carried on and purged the whole lot.

It was only a day or two later that we got the hotmatch update but I now find there's only 2 pages of them (was previously 35 pages). A lot of what I used to have has not reappeared.

It's as if the GR system has permanently recorded all the details of the tree members and associated contact names that I have discarded. Normally, this would be useful - for example you discard hotmatches where the place of birth is wrong - but this time it's annoying.

Should I just wait until the next fortnightly update or is there any thing I can actually do to restore my 'chart-toppers'?

regards,

Mark
