If you live in Preston, then the Lancashire records office has the bishops' transcripts for Liverpool diocese

Kathlyn

Did you see my earlier reply?
You want the Liverpool registrar in Old Hall Street - I gave you the address in your previous thread. If you live near Liverpool it is an easy matter to locate the marriage yourself and print it off for the grand total of 30p at the Central library.
Chris

They are always very helpful.

Kathlyn, try Lancashire BMD. From there you can click into records of many Liverpool Churches.

Don't know where you live but Manchester Central Library have some Liverpool church records on microfiche. Their web site lists which records they have. Is there a similar library in Liverpool?

Have you tried the vicar of the church itself?
I know of several churches that actually hold copies.
Also sometimes the local biggest library to the church hold film or microfiche copies.

If they married London they would come from the LMA so not sure about the records for Liverpool. Perhaps you could email the records office for Liverpool and ask. Good luck Irene

You need liverpool record office.

I want to obtain a copy of the church`s record of a marriage that took place in Liverpool in 1868. I do know the name of the church and dates etc.

Would the Lancashire RO have these?
