Mary, did you mean contact the person who had the information on family roots?,

I don't know about family roots but have you tried RootsWeb WorldConnect, there are a lot of family trees and you can email the tree owner or add a post to the site

GR has plenty of members in OZ, like me; and there are plenty of on-line resources for tracing people who settled there. If he settled in NSW or Vic or Qld, the births deaths and marriages indexes are on-line. for current people you could try whitepages.com.au

There are plenty of passenger lists available if that's what you are looking for. start with www.records.nsw.gov.au - online indexes, immigration. There are also links to other passenger lists sites.

i have found after 5 yrs of researching my 5th ggfathers brother how sailed to oz in the 1840s and settled there found him on family roots it gives a name and address of the person .is there any sites in oz the same as this one or does anyone know how you can connect them to assist them with details that i have
