I got my freebie 2009 and it took a while to register that. Sometimes its worth looking at the ancestry forums as there always seems to be someone there to help.

Does anyone know the phone number for Ancestry in the UK? They aren't answering my e-mails so it looks like i'll have to ring them.

I am sure that I read somewhere that people with 2008 were to be offered an upgrade free to 2009 because of the problems with 2008. But I can't find out anything more. i have 2008 and agree it is not so good as 2005.

I have put this on the General board but thought i'd put it here too, just incase there's anyone who reads this but not the general one who may be able to help....

Has anyone else had problems registering FTM 2009 on Ancestry?
I bought my copy nearly a fortnight ago now, put it on the comp and imported all my data from my old 2005 version, and had a good "play" with the maps and so forth, and generally learnt my way around the programme, which i find really good. However whenever i try to register it i just keep getting a "Registration Server Error please try at a later time" message. I have e-mailed Ancestry but no response. I am so fed up because i cannot access any of the online features until it's registered!
Anyone have any ideas what to do next??

Cathy
