You have gone as for as you can within the UK and your family tree takes you oversea's???

Example - I know my mothers side of the family were from the French West Indies and I have absolutely no idea how i can continue my family tree professionally or otherwise

Any ideas??

Many thanks

Justine, I found some of my lots marriages in the French colonies on IGI - see if you can find yours on there.

Hi All,

Thank you very much for your helpful replies. Unfortunately i still have not had any luck finding Henry Pierre c 1855 of Guadeloupe/France. I have been told that lots of Henry Pierre's were sold into slavery in the 1800's so i still feel completely lost. I did however find his sons Henry b1869 and George b1875 on the 1901 census.

Thank you again.

Justine.
