I am helping a friend to trace her ancestors but we have come up against a brickwall.

her grandfather Konrad Szymanowski born Moscow about 1875/77 came to England from Lithuania.

She got this information from his marriage when he married her grandma Bessie Gertrude Huck on the 20th July 1901 on Lancashire.
He was lodging in Bolton on the 1901 census.

Now she has emailed the Russian Embassy in London 3x for some info on how to obtain her grandfathers birth certificate but they have never replied to any of the emails.

I know you lovely people will try and help if you know how she can try to obtain her grandfathers birth cert in Russia.
