Thank you my friend. The person I'm looking for is my GGGFather. His son Frederick Charles Boyle b1838 is fine and dandy, Got stuck here with our Fred Snr. Name on MC is Frederick Boyle. have tried all the usual avenues with out any luck. No BC,No DC just the Marriage. strange. Cross fingers someone has come across this problem before and has an answer. Off to watch some TV now.

Evening Dellboy and welcome to the Boards.

Without having looked it up, Boyle as in Boyle's view, is likely to be a surname.

Why not start a thread on Finding Ancestors, stating what you do know including father's name if given on the MC, and people can have another look for you for the missing records?

Obviously, a birth c1800 would only be recorded in baptismal records, it at all.

Thanks for that Linda.

Theres another excellent resource about London the Charles Booth Online archive.

Charles Booth walked around London in the 1880's documenting what he saw. He produced a "poverty map" which I find is a wonderful reference. The whole lot is available at
