Only that my great grandmothers name was Agnes Conn Turner nee McAlister. She was married to William George Turner born 5th March 1881 in Greenwich London.

Hi,

I think it can be both. Or otherwise, Scottish, but also in Northern Ireland for a long time now.

My husband has lots of McAlisters in his tree that were from Antrim in Northern Ireland. This would be 1850s onwards timeframe I am talking about.
