ok my half sister had a daughter and its been written twice on the birth register!
same name same mother same area?
is this a miss print as ive seen it happen a few times in other places!

This has happened several times in more recent years. A registrar sometimes visits the hospital and takes the details...10 days later the gas and air has worn off and she goes to register the child.

It can also happen if the father is not available at the first registration but within a time limit returns to add his details to the entry..especially if the parents were not married at the time of the birth.

Also, if parents are not married the entry can appear under mum's name and dad's name.
