You can either search for his marrige in the complete marriage index or if they had any children her maiden name will be on the birth certificates.

As it would be after about 1929 this will not be available on freebmd so it would need for you or someone to buy credits and do a search quarter by quarter an apporixmate year by year which is very time consuming unless you have an approximate year of marriage. Did they have any children? What was the year of birth for the first child. Perhaps you can take off a couple of years and start the search for the marriage then i.e. married 1938 child born 1940 just in case I have not explained myself very well.

Good luck

There is this marriage although I don't know if it is his:-

Alfred G. Brock
June qtr. 1939, Bridgend, 11a, 1500

The spouse is given as Wright or Thomas, so she must have used both names, however when I tried to check that her first names are what you give, I can't find a corresponding entry under either Wright or Thomas. Strange??

Well done Janice for finding the right marriage. If I were you I'd send Karen a pm so she doesn't send for the wrong certificate (just in case she doesn't come back to this thread).
