which records office

Hi If someone was born in 1839 in Haverhill Suffolk regestration district Risbridge which office would you expect to find the record at thank you

Check with Suffolk Records Office based at Bury St. Edmunds. Irene

Look up someone with an entry in Risbridge on FreeBMD, say John b 1837 - 8 hits.
Now click on Risbridge in the hit, and it says
"The district Risbridge spans the boundaries of the counties of Cambridgeshire, Essex and Suffolk; information about it can be found here."
Click on the final "here", and at the bottom it says:
"Registers now divided between Bury St. Edmunds, Sudbury and Braintree districts."

Looks to me like you'll have to call one of the offices and ask them, or email them. Click on one of the names for contact details.

Note that you want the Registers Office, not the Records Office.
