Hi..has anyone else had an email about renewal from Ancestry?
I have been sent one at a special price for the worldwide.Now earlier on in the year I was sent a letter to say that Maestro was not being accepted then they changed it and said it was and was giving 20% off membership when it came up for renewal due to the mistake...I dont know if this special price is with the 20% so can anyone tell me if they have had this email and what the price is they are offering...

I am asking this as I tried to upgrade and my card was declined and then remembered about the 20% so thought I would ask before trrying again..now my card is Maestro and this option is on there for payment...does anyone know if there is another problem paying with this card or have I made a mistake entering the details?

Had a look at history on here and this has not been brought up since april this year so if anyone can help ...thank you....

Well its a site , that if you join has reductions on subs to other sites, like ancestry, lots are saying how much they save through it,

Oh right...never heard of it but how money is at the moment will have a look..just wondered though if Ancestry had stopped Maestro again..always wary about entering details of cards..thing is I want to pay and it wont accept..the money is there.just thought if I could get a bit extra off as well at the same time as they promised this 20% but didnt know if what they were offering me includes this or is it the same for everyone...

Hope you are still around today to read this.

I had the 'Maestro" letters back in the summer and rang the number on the letter last weekend, a week before my renewal was due and got my 20% off the advertised price of the Premium Membership (could of had it off Worldwide but did not want to spend the extra!)

My advice would be to ring the telephone number on the letter quoting 20% off and giving them your Maestro details - good luck. J*

Thank you all very much for your replies.Will ring number on letter(just waiting for hubby to go out so he doesnt know!) and quote the 20% as they have sent me a special offer price this will make it even better!!...
