Death certs. of twice married females

Gwyn in Kent Report 25 Oct 2008 12:49

After 1969 maiden names are shown on a married woman's death certificate, but I didn't realise that other married names are shown, ...and indexed too. ( if the informant gave that information, of course).
I have received a death certificate today, but it was not in the name that I ordered, even though it's the correct person
. It would seem that the lady had remarried and the name I ordered was shown in the name and surname box as, ... Formerly known as.........

Maybe this will help some of you to find females even if you don't know their later remarried surname.
