Thanks for your response Jennifer.

I have thought about this, my problem being I am unable to zoom in or out which means I cannot get the whole image on the screen , I would have to take the image in about 3 pictures and piece them together !
It is an option but wanted to just see if there was another way round it!

Thanks for the info though.

Hi Donna,

I overcame this problem by photographing the image on the fiche reader, then up loading the images to my computer and printing them out.

You may need to experiment with the light levels to get the best results, I find flash off and a semi darkend room is best. You can always improve the images in your photo editing programme if needed.

Hello All,

I currently have a microfiche reader at home but would really like to scan some of the images from them to the computer to print out.

I really cannot afford these big fandangled whopping machines with everything built in together !

I am looking for a small (portable) scanner that you can plug into your pc that will scan the microfiche.

I have looked but cannot seem to find anything !

Does anyone have any suggestions??

Regards

Donna.
