Exact dates of birth

Could anyone tell me how to find the exact date of birth ,marriage and death of rellies,without sending for their certs.
I have a William Cunningham born abt OCT,NOV DEC of 1875
and Florence Margaret Stainsby born abt OCT,NOV, DEC 1889,They married 18 April 1910,butI dont know when they died.
Any help would be really helpful

The only way to find the exact dates is to order the certs.

Thats what I thought,but the info is for a relative who requires exact dates ,what I have is enough info for me,

You can view the baptism, marriage and burial registers at the Records Office for the area where the event took place.

The baptism register may or may not have the date of birth.

The marriage register will give exactly the same details as you'd get on a cert.

The burial register doesn't usually give the date of death.

Mary is quite right about marriage register entries but I would say that birth certificates for all direct ancestors are essential if you want to have full confidence that you are pursuing the correct line.

You could always ask the relative who wants to know to pay the £14.00 for the two birth certs.

If they died after 1969 then their dates of birth will be in the deaths index.

one correction ........


their date of birth AS KNOWN TO THE INFORMANT will be in the deaths index



and that may not be correct!!!

Thanks to all who contacted me ,(Andrew,Mary in Italy,Peter,Jill in Kent, Richard in Perth and Sylvia in Canada)I have done the obvious thing and sent off for their Birth certs so thanks again to everyone .
