William was born Shoreditch, London c 1859,
1881 Census shows him aged 22 with Emily???? b. Hackney c 1860.
Can you locate marriage please as I would like to locate Emily's maiden name.
Anybody also know what a staymaker was by trade. They are both shown as Staymakers?

Thanks for all the help BUT can ANYBODY locate the marriage for me. Would be around 1878 to 1881 as they are shown as husband and wife on 1881 census.

Hello, Yes I would have thought so too but my William is William Reuben and the William Emily Van Buren married has totally different other given names. So I am still searching. I may have to get a certificate for one of the children to get the Mothers maiden name. I am in New Zealand so I cannot go and search the records in person.
