Hi
How do i find out where my ancestors are buried? I have a few death certificates and i have looked in local cemeteries but cannot find the people I am looking for! Would I have to go the relevant records office for this information?

Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks

Cynthia

What about church records of the parish where they lived?

Don't forget cremations ...

You could try contacting local undertakers - some of them have been around for years.

Hi Amy
Write to your local cemeteries and crematoriums giving as much information from your death certs as you can and include a S.A.E. they can check their records for you advise if it was a burial or cremation. If some-one was buried their details may not have yet been put on the stone and you could walk around for-ever.Also if a person were Catholic they could be buried in a Catholic Cemetery as to where I live we have four cemeteries and two crematoriums. Always include a S.A.E. it does help.
Good Luck Jane
