I have never before had a problem but I am having trouble trying to order a D. cert from GRO, entering the date of death mm/yyyy ?, I entered 06 / 2001 and I am repeatedly asked to enter a valid Non Future date ???? |

Yes Mary , they just keep asking for 'VALID NON FUTURE DATE' , 2001 seems reasonable to me ? |

Hi Luelli, just tried it for my husbands death in 2005 and it worked ok I would start from scratch again |

Sorry Mary for the delay in replying to your last post, I have been on the phone to GRO and the problem is now resolved. They could not explain the problem but suggested it may be a 'Blip' in my system , however the upshot is that I have at last ordered my cert.. Did you know it costs an extra £1.50 to order over the phone ? |

Did you write 06 / 2001? Then it will reject it, no spaces allowed. |

Oh! Well done Brian , have just realised that is exactly what I did but I didn't realise this until after I had phoned GRO and they didn't suggest this either |

Hi Mary , no it didn't , sadly, I rang GRO who took me thro' all of the form entering details on their system and it was fine . They say they have never heard of the problem and suggest it must be a 'Blip' on my computer. However to cut an even longer story shorter !, I have finally managed to order , no different way of ordering but the main thing is that it is now OK. |
