Member Since: December 2007 Posts: 76 Send Message	My great x3 granddad was in the 1st battalion, Hampshire regiment in WW1. On a sheet of paper I have regarding info about him during the war it says under supplementary notes:24181, royal Warwickshire regiment. Can anyone please tell me exactly what this means? Would it be that he was previously in the army? As far I am aware he never was. Any info would be gratefully received. Keeley :)

	He could have changed regiments. When a regiment lost a lot of men in action (which lots did) then men were moved around between the different regiments. My husbands father was in both the Royal Artillery and the Royal Engineers. Kath. x
