Ancestry is a good one to use, it has loads of different records for about £80 a year, or you can pay as you go or pay monthly. I know it sounds expensive but the amount of information on there is well worth it.

Dont pay for records on here, it is a lot dearer and they only direct you to other sites (I think, someone will correct me if I am wrong).

There are other sites but I have had no experience of these, hope this helps.

Hi, I am picking up my family tree again after a break of 10 years but in that time I have moved away from the area where my family are from. Originally I got my information from the local records office but now need to use other methods.

I am trying to match up the info I have got already using the record search on genes reunited but can't seem to find most of the people, are the databases complete?

The internet sites I have looked at all want subscription fees, are there any free ones or which are the best to join?

Does anyone have advice or a good place to look for information on finding information?

Thanks
