I don't bother looking at my Hot matches unless theres more than one name in my tree offered. About 95% have no place of birth or year, and since I added 2 very distant relatives---with the names Williams and Brown, I've been swamped with no hoper's. How do you clear a massive backlog of the unconnected--quickly?---cheers! arfermo.

I get my Hot Matches usually every 2 weeks...6 flipping pages of 'em!

Mind you, I have found a lot of 2nd cousins and loads more distant relatives.

I had my hotmatches at the weekend but all bar one was contacted before.
I check my main surnames on the tree matches (green box below) every morning then contact the person straifght away instead of waiting for genes to find the matches.

Probably the more names you add to your tree, the more Hot Matches you will get. I always check mine and have made some good contacts. I have linked up with quite a few people and so my HMs have got less - does this make sense?

Talking about hot matches.....I only ever receive hot matches for one name....are they forgetting that I have many other rellies???

If no matches are found for you when Hotmatches is run, then you won't receive an email.

I usually delete the emails but decided to keep the last few.
Received11/10/08---26/10/08--09/11/08 so every two weeks ish.
