Does anyone know what this means on a death cert? Causing the body to be buried. The informants name is not known to me.

New to me, but maybe the person was in a mine collapse .

A tutorial as to what is found on BMD certificates for England and Wales.

The death section explains 'causing the body to be buried'

I have that on my ggrandfather's death certificate, it just means the person who registered the death, normally not a family member otherwise it would state the relationship. My relative was in a mental institute - disowned by his family!!

Best wishes

Jane

I also had that on my step grandfathers cert. He died in hospital - no relatives (he was estragned from my nan) and when I checked up, the person causing the body to be buried was his landlord.
