Have group photo showing I rellie and 8 other men in uniform photo states ( The knats of room 3 11th battery RFA Brighton 14.1.1916)
can anyone help with info on this regiment? rellie was William Alfred Hannington photo taken outside barrack might be of interest to other members.

Do you have his pension records from Ancestry - his father was Alfred Charles.

Thank you Rose think this could be him as his full name was William Alfred Charles Hannington born 1893. Cant find service record on ancestry but know he was shot in the hand and pensioned, so will check this lead up. Thank again

Hi Irene, I have his father's name on (2nd) marriage cert of 1928 as Alfred James Hannington. William Alfred Charles wrote his name down as Alfred William Charles on this marriage cert and was always know as Alfred, so maybe I should look for army records under Alfred, thank you though you gave me food for thought.

There was a medal record on the National Archives site that was a better fit for William C. Take a look at that.

I don't see a birth in 1893 and there's nothing that fits on the census records. Where was he born?
