I have a marriage certificate for my gggrandmother but was surprised to find she is descirbed as a widow. I can not read the hand writting of her previously married surname which obviously hinders any further searches. Does anyone know how I can have this accuratley read? I live in the West Midlands.
Thanks

If you put the details up maybe we could find a previous marriage, which would have been in her maiden name too ?

ok, a bit more info:
Abigail Rowley born c1835 Brosely Shropshire father William Rowley

Seen on census for 1841 & 1851

December 1856 birth certificate for my Great Grandfather Wolverhampton, father's name not given, child named William Rowley

Unable to find Abigail or William on 1861 census

marriage certificate February 1866 Abigail and William Mander, Wolverhampton. Abigail is a widow, her father William Rowley.

The Surname I can't read possibly starts with F as if looks like the F in February, and is about 5 or 6 letters long. May be Frost or French

I have searched and searched every which-way I can so any fresh ideas or info of where I can get this read are welcome!

Thanks YummyMummy I have looked at that in the past, it is not the same family.

Yes Lindsey, I think she probably was married in 1861 to 'F'!!

Could you possibly scan it and email it for someone else to have a look?
