I bet if you put the pictures on the photograph restoration and dating section of Roots Chat they would be able to date them and tell you the various uniform they are wearing etc.
Great site for this!!

Can't really help with the photographs, but Ancestry.co.uk has records of military. For WWI for areloads, I have three different people in three differnt regiment/corps, and they all have records of some king whether it be a medal roll or actually military records.

I have yet been able to find two army man's records

Regarding the photographs, we have one of my mum's grandmother. The photographer was A.G. Photographers and there was a website. But as Chica in the sun said they probably won't remain after all this time.

Hope this all helps.

Have you googled the company Tommy?
I have been able to date a couple of photos within 2 years by doing that (1884-1886). I discovered there was a whole website dedicated to that particular photographer. Many studios were like our Franchises with branches in major cities. I doubt whether records of clients would remain.

I´m not to up on uniforms, but try googling Highland Light Infantry I think the Nat. Archives have records.

I have a number of old photographs, victorian and edwardian. The only information that I have is the address of the company. Does anyone know about any site that would perhaps show a record of people that used the service or any ideas on how i can date the pictures or find out who is on them?
Also have two men that are dressed in Highland Light Infantry uniforms. Where can I find a list of men that served in this?
