Hi
Can anyone advise what is the best value record search deal available - I am looking for a deal where I pay one fee for (say) 1 year unlimited access to Census & BMD records. BTW, my family appear to be equally spilt from England and Ireland.
Cheers....John

Ancestry.co.uk

Read the tips for Newbies thread John. Ill bump it up for you. Take a 14 day free trial. ( Ireland has very little stuff on line Im afraid. )

In fact you may want to get a decent family tree maker program at the same time - the FTM 2009 Platinum version on my-history.co.uk or twr genealogy site is about £41 and includes 6 months ancestry sub.

Ancestry definitely.
Find my past does have, some extra things which Ancestry doesn't, but it doesn't have the full set of censuses and I haven't found anything in the parish records which wasn't already on the IGI for free

I can confirm what Linda has said. Don't pay extra for Ancestry's parish records. A big disappointment and waste of 20 quid or so.
